Courses


Wetland Ecology (ENST 450/ENST 650/MEES 650). Plant and animal communities, biogeochemistry, and ecosystem properties of wetland systems. Laboratory emphasizes collection and analysis of field data on wetland vegetation, soil, and hydrology.

Water Quality: Field and Lab Methods (NRMT 451/ENBE 451). Hands-on experience with techniques for assessing physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of surface waters, including streams, lakes, and wetlands. Emphasis is placed on understanding the effects of water quality on ecosystem structure and function.

Additionally, I periodically offer graduate seminars in the areas of wetland plant ecology and ecological engineering.

I am the Undergraduate Coordinator for the Department of Environmental Science and Technology. I am also an academic advisor for undergraduate students in the Natural Resources Management program, the Environmental Science and Policy program, and the Biological Resources Engineering program..
