Dr. Wheaton's appointment is one-half time as professor in the Department ofEnvironmental Science and Technology and one-half time as Director ofthe Northeastern Regional Aquaculture Center.
Research Interests
His focus is in aquaculture engineering including recirculating aquaticproduction systems, off-bottom shellfish culture, processing of aquaticproducts, computer vision applied to processing of seafood, and how tooptimize the environment for increased growth and production of fish,shellfish, and aquatic plants.
