Research Interests

  • Biodegradation, microbial ecology, and bioremediation of chlorinated organic groundwater contaminants
  • Improved management and reuse of agricultural, municipal, and industrial residuals
  • Methods for improving nitrogen conservation and reducing ammonia emissions from animal production facilities

Extension Interests

  • Management of manure and agricultural ammonia emissions
  • Treatment and disposal of mortalities and other residuals
  • Clean-up of pollutants and nutrients in groundwater and storm water
