ENST DEIR Plan Summary and Closeout
The Department of Environmental Science and Technology (ENST) launched its Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Respect (DEIR) Plan in 2020 to guide efforts toward a more inclusive and respectful departmental culture. As of mid-2025, we have successfully completed over 82% of the plan’s action items.
In alignment with the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the broader university, we are now sunsetting the formal DEIR Plan. This step reflects both the completion of the plan’s initial goals and our transition to embedding best practices throughout our ongoing teaching, research, and service.
We are proud of the progress made and grateful to all who contributed. The knowledge and practices developed through this work will continue to shape our department’s future.
